Michael Anthony Orlando Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer of the Interdisciplinary Design Collaborative LLC, a unique research and development company he founded in 2008. His duties as CEO are those of overseeing the strategic direction of the company, coordinating new business opportunity efforts and oversight of the executive board. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering and another in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2009. Previous to his current engagements, he spent two years serving as the director of a university-owned technical production group that provided audio/visual support and equipment to events in the region. From early in his life, Mr. Orlando was interested in many science and engineering topics ranging the gamut from design to computers, machines to programming, and acoustics to photography. These diverse interests have guided him to create a company that embraces collaborators with a wide variety of specialties and the entrepreneurial spirit. His current pursuit of a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and professional certificates in both Project Management and Human Systems Integration speak to his more recent interest in management philosophy and application in the real world.
