Description

Motocross Sniper is a mash-up of two popular game genres.

Created for iOS and Android devices, Motocross Sniper starts with the player completing a challenging, procedurally generated course as a motocross rider. Throughout the course, the actions of the rider are recorded.  The player can tilt their device to change the center of gravity of the rider as they jump over hills and land safely. Points are awarded based on tricks and lowest times.

After riding, a player can take aim at the recording they just completed. A sniper reticle roughly follows the previos rider and you must tilt the device to sim closer and tap to shoot a paintball. The more hits you administer, the liklier they are to fall off and gain you extra points.

Share your results of either game online in the leaderboards. Motocross Sniper has 5 built in worlds with fully procedurally generated track, so you’ll never play exactly the same track. Also, play head to head over bluetooth on iOS devices, with one person riding and the other sniping.

Cross Promotion

IDC Projects plans to release Motocross Sniper and reach the App Store top 25 for a sustained 5 weeks through an extensive marketing and PR campaign. This is estimated to reach an estimated 350,000 people, each of which should spend an average of 3 hours in game during which they will be exposed to a brand roughly every 2-4 minutes. This equates to about 20 million brand impressions.

One element of this proces is building in cross promotional items in our game. If you are interested in incorporating your brand in our game, we would love to hear from you and discuss the options. At the moment, we are NOT taking monetary offers for inclusion, only cross promotion to enhance the visibility of the game to potential players. Our goal is to place your brand in a prominent and positive light inside the game (for example, as an “upgrade” from the stock, no name unit.)

Game Jam

The STL Game Jam is set up for all those interested in game development to come together and create a brand new game within 24 hours.  A theme is given at the start of the event.  Artist, coders, composers, and all divide up into teams to create a game based on the theme.  This year the theme was “Twice Upon a Time.”

STL Game Jam 2011 was hosted by Simultronics in Maryland Heights.  For more information about the event and to see the other games created, check out their website at http://www.stlgamejam.com/

Other Games

Check out some of IDC Projects’ other games!

Up‽ will challenge your reflexes and dexterity like no other game available. The big question is, how long can you keep it up? Just rotate your phone to keep the wandering arrow pointed upward. If you thought that was too easy, you must also prevent the flying meteors from hitting your arrow. The meteors cause the arrow to spin randomly and can drain your health. Tap them to destroy them. Play against your friends to see who keeps it up the longest. It’s harder than you ever imagined…

Everybody’s favorite drinking game!  Play with the virtual deck of cards and keep track of how many drinks each player has.  For those who don’t know how to play, each card has instructions.  Or play free-style and create your own rules. Also known as Circle of Death, King’s Cup, Ring of Fire, Kings, Rhombus of Nosferatu, Shanty of McGinty, Sociables, or The King’s Game; regardless of what you call it, the iOS version brings the common social game to players everywhere.

The classic card matching game. Test your memory! Simply flip the cards to reveal a matching pair. Race against the clock in single player mode or challenge your friends in the multi player mode. Featuring sharp and clean graphics, developed for the 4th generation iPhone and iPod Touch Retina display (and now iPad). Try multiple board sizes, 4×4 and 6×6 on iPhone and iPod Touch, plus 4×5 and 5×6 boards for the iPad. Beat your own best time and compete against your friends. Play with the default deck, simple black and white shapes, dots, matching numbers to dots, or the ever impossible colors. (Colors is a lot harder than it sounds, trust us.)

Play three versions of the classic peg jumping puzzle game. Beautiful graphics and three board shapes: triangle, plus, and octagon. For an added challenge, try the custom game types with random missing peg spots (oh yes, it’s hard). The plus shaped board is the traditional game of peg solitaire. Choose your board type and select a peg to remove to begin the timer. Race against yourself to see how fast you can beat each game board. Peg board is OpenFeint and Game Center enabled so you can share your shockingly low times with all your friends and compete against the rest of the world to become the Peg Board Master. Visually stunning with beautiful Retina Display capable graphics.
